1. Get EDPuzzle account. Use code jawselk to join the class. Watch 6 videos and answer questions. See picture below. Due the first day of school.
2. Read 3 scientific articles - take notes using Cornell note taking method. Use link below to help you get started. Due the first day of school.

3. Review and study prefixes, suffixes, and vocabulary. Be ready for a test the second week of school. We will select the words that are relevant to the unit.
4. Using the list from the following two pages, construct 20 words by combining prefixes and suffixes. Each word must be followed by a definition of what the word means. Your words do not have to be real words. You can have as many prefixes/suffixes in the word as you like. Example: Chlorophobia- fear of the color green. Due the first day of school.
5. Bring supplies the first day of school - composition notebook, folder, pencils, colored pens or markers or colored pencils, 2 packages of notecards.
